The ring will still need to be bolted together into a circle when you get it, but that can be done in a few minutes. All you need are some simple hand tools (not included). If you need a custom size, let me know before placing an order. The ring is NOT painted or finished, the gray color is simply the color of raw steel.

Any moisture in the air will oxidize the raw steel and cause surface rust. We do not paint or recommend painting campfire rings, as any paint you use will burn off when you start a fire. If you do want to paint it, do the following. Sand the ring with sandpaper or an electric sander to remove any traces of rust (if there is any).

Wipe off any dust that accumulated while machining the ring with a dry rag. Degrease the ring with solvent or any other degreasing agent. If there is paint left in the can, do a second coat of paint after the first coat of paint has dried. After some time, the ring will need to be repainted, as the paint will break down from the temperature. Select an option from the drop-down menu.
